ABOUT

A FAMILY
OF ARTISANS
OF AN ART FORM.

HANDING DOWN THE ART OF EMBROIDERY IN ITS MOST ARTISTIC AND EXPRESSIVE FORM SINCE 1968.

Embroidering means crafting a visible representation of one of the oldest artistic forms known to man, because embroidery transcends mere design.

Embroidering means crafting a visible representation of one of the oldest artistic forms known to man, because embroidery transcends mere design.

With our team of around 30 skilled artisans, ably supported by the wealth of expertise within our technical and sales department teams, today Riart is able to develop and design complex processes, even in parallel, using a wide range of yarns and materials.

Innovative materials and processes enable us to use production techniques to achieve superbly refined effects, ranging from a traditional hand-embroidered look to the most delicate and prestigious, using the very lightest fabrics such as tulle or voile right through to heavy fabrics with textured knits.

OUR STORY

The year our embroidery business was established

In 1968 Dalla Zanna Ines, who had been operating in the high fashion tailoring sector since 1925, embarked upon a new business venture specialising in automatic embroidery, ably supported by her son Adriano.

1968

The year RIART was established

In 1973, a new company was established named Riart di Camazzola Adriano, This was achieved by splitting off the embroidery business from the tailoring business of Dalla Zanna Ines.

Major partnerships were established, including with Gabel (household linen), and Iana (knitwear and clothing for children).

1973

The first successes

In the 70s, Riart enjoyed success supplying its embroidered products to major companies including Tecnica (MoonBoot), Nordica (Sportswear), Benetton (Sisley e 012), Rossimoda (Shoes Anne Kleine, Dior, YSL, Ungaro, Givenchy), Lovable (Underwear), e Gianfranco Ferré (Leather garments)

1975

Establishment of the s.r.l.

The corporate structure of the company changes to an s.r.l. (Limited Liability Company)

1982

Commercial growth gathers pace

The first partnerships with renowned stylists are established:Adriano Goldshmied (Goldie e Americanino), Olmes Carretti (Best Company e Henry Lloyd) e Sergio Tegon (Pepper e Seventy).

1985

Expansion into new markets

In the 90s he collaborated in the creation of the Amore line by Marina Salomon, in the relaunch of Marlboro, in the new embroidered products of Diesel and in the revisiting of other important brands of the 70s.
Working on an idea by Gegè Schiena, we transform MET denim, innovating the first tears achieved using laser cutting.
Our embroideries embellish the Nara Camicie collections.
We team with major groups seeking to outsource their production processes (Benetton, Marzotto, Miroglio ecc). .), playing a major role also in the research and development phase for their embroidered products.

1990

Technological innovation

We invest in advanced technologies, with a focus on specialist embroidery techniques (Laser, Cornely embroidery, application of ribbons and cords, sequins and rhinestones). This strategy, which we started in the 90s, laid the foundations that led to us becoming a trusted partner to renowned luxury brands that are still household names today.
We commence our partnership with Roberto Cavalli and Ermanno Chervino.

1993

Special production techniques

We shift towards special working methods, a strategy begun in the 90s, in order to cater specifically for the specialist domestic market which is not moving production overseas. New technologies are not enough: we work hard to source new materials, effects, and graphic ideas…

2000

The global financial crisis and research

We face new, much more sophisticated markets, which seek exclusive products. We take our first steps into the luxury market.

2008

Investing in talent

We set out again, more committed than ever, relying on the experience we’ve acquired and investment in human resources. We lend our support to our customers’ commitment to environmental, ethical and social issues.
